Science & Engineering at Distance

Adult-level science/engineering distance learning experiences, specifically designed to boost engagement and minimize roadblocks, coupled with an opportunity to unpack the design, facilitation principles, and technology use.

Most teachers have never had a high-quality, distance science or engineering learning experience for themselves. Without that experience as a model, it’s challenging to create engaging distance learning experiences for their students. These sessions provide science teachers that firsthand experience and opportunities to make sense of the technology and pedagogy that allows it to happen.

The in-person MSS courses I’ve taken have been the most interesting science learning experiences of my career. I was surprised to see that their distance science investigations were just as good. It inspired me to change what I was doing in my distance work with my students.
