Deep learning occurs in online sessions when teachers focus on boosting engagement and minimizing roadblocks.
With at-home learning, students are no longer captive audiences in a highly focused place on learning. Teaching at a distance requires far more attention to boost student engagement and clear roadblocks that impede their participation.
These practices aren’t just for the distance space. I’ll be continuing to focus on these once we get back to school because the more my students engage the more they learn.
