For teachers who want to bring a complete MSS learning experience to their classrooms, our supplemental student units are designed from the ground up for next generation science learning.
The units focus on integrating Disciplinary Core Ideas, Science and Engineering Practices, and Crosscutting Concepts. But they take it a step further with support for literacy, math, technology, life and career, and culturally relevant teaching.
Our Student Units are currently in the pilot phase. Please contact us to learn more about the availability of units at your grade level.
Elementary Units
For grades K–5, we have a 2–3 week unit focused on the crosscutting concept of Systems but targeting unique grade-level specific disciplinary core ideas and science & engineering practices.
This unit is designed to support teachers who have taken the Systems course.
Middle School Units
For middle school, we have a comprehensive unit (6–7 weeks) focused on waves.
This unit is designed to support teachers who have taken the Waves course.
High School Units
For high school, three 2–3 week units are in the development pipeline — one for biology, one for chemistry, and one for physics — that integrate our eight dimensions model of next generation learning with a focus on Earth Science.
